📱 Nicaea and the Demon Summoning Program
Prior to finding out about Nicaea website, Hibiki was a high school student in the middle of university entrance exams. However, after watching a video of an accident involving a train crashing into the subway station because of a powerful earthquake where he happens to be standing it turns out that Nicaea isn't just a morbid joke. A few seconds later, the scene from the video becomes reality, but instead of dying, Hibiki and his friends are saved by a demon and obtain access to the Demon Summoning Program. Thanks to this phone app, he can fight to survive in Tokyo as soon as demons started to appear and kill people which results in the whole city descending into chaos. Making a pact with a demon via his phone (kids these days...) was undoubtedly reckless, but he didn't really have a choice because dying without putting up a fight is no choice at all according to him. It's also worth pointing out that to Hibiki, life is to continue choosing. Contracting an unknown demon is a proof of his daredevil side which will show off in multiple situations, but he's always prone to get more serious and reckless when it comes down to taking action to protect his friends and fight for what he thinks is right and the best for everyone. Hence his decision to accept the demon's offer: if he dies in the accident, he won't be able to do anything. On the one hand, it can be considered reckless, but it also proves how flexible Hibiki is and how far is he willing to go for everyone's sake. While he isn't fond of conflicts, Hibiki doesn't hesitate to step in whenever it's necessary, even if it's to protect strangers from the people abusing the Demon Summoning app. To Hibiki it's simple—if he can help someone, he'll just do it, no matter whether they're aligned with JP's or they're a civilian in need.

📱 Cooperation with JP's
Speaking of JP's (which happens to be short for Japan Meteorological Agency, Geomagnetism Research Department, no less), Hibiki and his friends never become full-fledged agents, but they're civilians cooperating with the organization which is in charge of fighting demons and finding the source of the crisis to stop it. Since Hibiki and his friends show promise, they're allowed to cooperate with the organization after getting approval from Yamato, leader of JP's. Soon enough, Hibiki and the gang find themselves traveling between Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya and meet JP's agents and civilians working for the organization just like them. Meeting new people and seeing the places gives Hibiki the full picture of their current situation. When he and his team managed to climb up the tower in Nagoya, they realized the scale of the tragedy when they saw that it's in ruins, just like Tokyo.

Hibiki's group grows with every passing day and while every single person has different values and priorities, Hibiki is the person that brings them together. Moreover, his comedic talent and playfulness shines during all kinds of interactions with his friends. Everyone is relying on him despite the fact that he walks his own path making him seem a bit aloof, they trust him entirely and realize that they help them grow. For instance, thanks to Hibiki's advice Joe finally visited his sick girlfriend in the hospital and Io understood that it's important to speak up for herself. From Hibiki's side, he considers all of his friends important and respects their opinions which can be seen near the end of the game, when three different fractions form; although all teams fight while keeping different ideals in mind, they still respect each other.

📱 The Anguished One
Aforementioned three fractions formed when it became clear that after defeating Septentriones they will be able to reach the world's administrator called Polaris who's responsible for the progressing world destruction. Hibiki can choose from the three teams with different ideals: Yamato's meritocracy, Ronaldo's egalitarianism, or Daichi's coexistence. Alternatively, he can join forces with the Anguished One who a mysterious being, quite interested in humanity and its potential. Their every single interaction provokes Hibiki to think more about humanity and the future of the world. Before being made to decide between the fractions, he manages to befriend the Anguished One who turns out to be of the Septentriones later on, but contrary to them he cares about humans and wants them to survive this ordeal. Picking this route makes it obvious that Hibiki wants the same thing: restoration rather than changing the world dramatically with meritocracy or egalitarianism. After fighting for survival for just a few days, he longs for things to return to normal and his friend Daichi shares the sentiment. In result, choosing this path means that Hibiki and the Anguished One have to fight against all three teams alone since that's the part of the agreement—whoever is the strongest gets to decide what to do in regard with Polaris and the future of the world. Hibiki and the Anguished One's plan is to restore the world and have the Anguished One to be the new administrator. This choice proves that Hibiki believes in human potential just as the Anguished One does and that everyone deserves another chance. Determined to make this plan succeed, Hibiki defeats other fractions and emerges victorious, which leads to another important choice he has to make in order to restore the world...

📱 Killing Polaris
The decision to kill Polaris makes it clear that Hibiki wants freedom for humanity and trusts the Anguished One to be the administrator humanity needs. Is it reckless to kill an entity so powerful? Sure. Polaris brought the calamity upon the planet, though. On top of that, there's no guarantee that it won't happen again at some point whenever they decide that humanity is rotten. Standing up against such a powerful entity is, to put it mildly, a risky decision, and yet it's the ultimate proof of Hibiki's determination. While he remains the laid-back student who likes to joke, Hibiki steps up to make that decision for everyone and fight for everyone's future.

But again, to live is to continue choosing.

Summoned via his phone, if possible. It won't have any other functions. If that's not okay, though, he'll settle down for summoning Byakko in warlock style.
